Glacier Point Wilderness Safari
This wilderness expedition to the spectacular Davidson Glacier immerses you in the abundant natural beauty of Alaska, leading you through fjords, rain forests, vibrant wildflowers, and towering mountains. Kick off the tour with a sublime cruise down the Lynn Canal, followed by a mellow hike to your canoe that will bring you face-to-face with the stunning Davidson Glacier. Wrap up the adventure with a picnic lunch on the beach before the return cruise back to town. On this spellbinding wilderness expedition, you will travel through fjords and rainforests viewing some of the most spectacular Alaskan scenery in Southeast. You’ll see everything from wildflowers to towering mountains and top off the experience with up-close views of the Davidson Glacier. Your adventure begins aboard one of our boats custom-designed to provide an intimate viewing experience. During your 75-minute journey through North America’s deepest fjord, keep a lookout for whales, seals, and cascading waterfalls while your Naturalist guide tells you more about the area you are traveling through. Upon arrival at the remote Glacier Point beach, you will take a short, adventurous drive in a school bus across the forested glacial moraines to our base camp where you will gear up in rubber boots and a life jacket. After a ¼ mile walk, the forest opens to reveal a breathtaking view of the Davidson Glacier and the pristine lake below. Here you will board a 31-foot voyager canoe for a trip around the lake to view the glacier and enjoy the incredible Alaskan wilderness while your guide shares their extensive knowledge of the area. Conditions permitting, you’ll make a stop on the delta to get up close and personal with the glacier. This is an optional 1/2 to 1-mile hike over a sand and pebble beach. After the walk on the delta, hop back in the canoe to begin your return trip. After arriving back at the base camp, enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach before your cruise back to town on the custom-designed wildlife-viewing boat. This 6 hour journey through Prince William Sound will feature a visit to the Columbia Glacier area where you have a chance to view history in the making as Columbia Glacier retreats back into the Chugach Mountains. In addition to the amazing ice in Columbia Bay, you will see a variety of wildlife and have the opportunity to learn about the mining, oil shipping, earthquake, and fishing history of the area. On board a light meal is served.
6.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Wildlife & Glacier Tour
We will head out into Resurrection Bay and venture into Kenai Fjords National Park viewing many species of wildlife as we travel toward one of Kenai Fjords most active and impressive tidewater glaciers. Here we will watch and listen to the powerful sights and sounds of the glacier. Most likely we will see ice breaking off (calving) and crashing into the ocean. It truly is a magnificent sight! Once we’ve spent some quality time at the glacier, we’ll venture out to do some more wildlife viewing while taking in some of nature’s most spectacular scenery. Depending on weather and wildlife sightings, we may visit the Chiswell Islands (a National Wildlife refuge and Bird sanctuary) and/or Cape Resurrection (one of the largest black-legged kittiwake rookeries in Alaska). Everyday is a different adventure and experience! The power of Mother Nature does not disappoint. Kenai Fjords is one of the best areas for whales and wildlife viewing and offers the opportunity to see a variety of different species. Our most common sightings include Humpback Whales, Sea Otters, Steller Sea Lions, Puffins, Dall’s Porpoise, Mountain Goats, Harbor Seals, Orca Whales (Killer whales) and a large variety of bird species. One thing that makes Hopscotch unique is that she is foreign built (in France), however she has Jones Act Waivers to operate in the waters of Washington State and Alaska. She is a USCG documented vessel, ported out of Skagway, Alaska, and can take up to 6 guests at one time along with crew. Hopscotch is rated as an Ocean Going Vessel (she has crossed the Atlantic) and we take her upkeep and maintenance extremely seriously. We operate Hopscotch in remote areas, and safety is our top priority. One unique thing about your Hopscotch crew is that they all have their US Coast Guard Captains License. As required by the Coast Guard, they are also all trained in CPR/First Aid, and participate in a Random Drug Testing Program. Lighthouse Totems & Eagles Excursion
Join our Alaskan captain and their crew at our dock in Ward Cove – which was once home to North America’s largest operating pulp mill and a working salmon cannery – to board either the Lighthouse Endeavor or Totem Princess. Once aboard, you’ll get to settle into the inside heated main cabin or a seat on the outside observation deck, as you leave the dock for your cruise. Sip a hot chocolate or freshly-brewed coffee and keep your eye out for plentiful American bald eagle sightings. Your captain will navigate the vessel along our developed shoreline while our crew helps you spot the many eagle’s nests along our route. You’ll arrive in front of Totem Bight State Park, home to an Alaskan native clan house and 14 towering Tlingit and Haida hand-carved cedar totem poles, where you will learn about Ketchikan’s vibrant Alaska Native culture as well as the history of the park. We’ll provide you with beautiful, panoramic views of the entire park from the water, and an opportunity to get your photo taken with this stunning site. About halfway through the trip, you’ll leave the developed shoreline to head out to Guard Island Lighthouse, perched on its own island near the opening to Clarence Strait. (This fascinating landmark was established in 1904 and is still in operation today!) While here, take a minute to breathe in the fresh sea air and keep your eye out for the possibility of some of our favorite marine mammals – seals, sea lions, and, in May and September, sometimes even humpback and orca whales! You also may get a chance to see any number of seabirds, such as great blue heron, pigeon guillemots, or gulls. 2 Hour Talkeetna Float Trip
Few places in the world can equal the scale and beauty of Mt. McKinley and the Alaska Range. On this two-hour narrated Talkeetna River Natural History Float Trip, you will see spectacular vistas of this magnificent scenery. Explore the lower end of the famous Talkeetna River, which is steeped in history and the Alaskan pioneering spirit. You will participate in a brief safety lecture at the river's edge before launching and floating down six to eight miles of pristine river. The Talkeetna River is a glacier-fed waterway teeming with salmon and other wildlife. Our guides are versed in describing the flora, fauna, and scenery along the way. We will look for bears, eagles, fish, beavers, moose, fox, and waterfowl during this float. We will stop to visit two active Bald Eagles’ nests, see beaver dams, look for bear tracks, and float past an old miner’s cabin… all before joining the mighty Susitna River for the loop back to Talkeetna. On the Susitna River, there is a stunning view of Mt. McKinley (20, 320′) and the entire Alaska Range. On clear days, the view is amazing. There will be plenty of opportunities to take photos! Rafting through the pristine wildlands of Denali State Park (and the borderlands of Denali National Park), you will see vistas and magnificent scenery most folks just read about or experience via magazines. The raft launch is at mile 133 of the Parks Highway. Your trip will begin here or in Talkeetna, depending upon where you are staying. We provide complimentary transportation from Talkeetna. At the river’s edge, you will participate in a brief safety lecture and demonstration before launching and floating the nineteen miles of the glacial-fed Chulitna back to Talkeetna. Almost throughout the entire length of the trip, a stunning view of Mt. McKinley (20,320′) and the entire Alaska Range provide a spectacular backdrop. Join us for our first cruise of the season as we search for gray whales on their incredible annual migration. Every year, gray whales migrate over 10,000 miles round-trip between Baja and the Bering and Chukchi Seas – the longest migration route of any mammal. These whales begin migrating north in late February and arrive in Alaska in the spring, spending the summer feeding in shallow Arctic waters before migrating south in mid-October. They deliver their calves in the warm, protected lagoons off the coast of Baja in the winter. Our Spring Wildlife Cruise takes you through Resurrection Bay to the edge of the Gulf of Alaska in search of our returning visitors. Live the history of glaciations as we cruise among the sheer cliff walls, wide glacier outwash streams, and deep groves and striations scoured in the rock walls. In less than one hour from Whittier you will be sitting at the face two tidewater glaciers, Beloit and Blackstone and see the numerous waterfalls and hanging glaciers, remnants of giant glacier’s retreat. In route we’ll stop to photo sea otters and harbor seals that make their home in this part of the sound. During our adventure we’ll step ashore for a beach walk to experience the natural geology and thick rainforest. Enjoy a snack and hot drink as you reflect on your journey and this magnificent nook of Alaska.

Salmon & Halibut Fishing Charter
Come fish for Halibut and Salmon out of the beautiful Icy Strait! Port Frederick and Icy Straits has some of the best Halibut and Salmon fishing during the months of July-September. There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 guests. All guests must be 10 years of age and older per trip. If you don't have a party of 6 your charter may be combined with other smaller groups.
