This is an enthralling opportunity to witness two jewels in Juneau - the graceful elegance of humpback whales and the serene beauty of the Mendenhall Glacier. Our fleet of whale watching boats and glacier shuttles offer a seamless combination of two of Juneau’s favorite activities and our most popular tour. Upon check in, you will either be escorted to one of our shuttles for a narrated 25-minute drive to the glacier or to the boat harbor for whale watching. Mendenhall is the world’s only drive up glacier. You can choose to hike to Nugget Falls (1.5 hours round trip), take the Photo Point Trail (40 minutes round trip), look for wildlife along the Steep Creek trail, or stroll up the easy walk to the Visitor Center. During your time on the water, you will be accompanied by a naturalist who explains the feeding habits of these magnificent creatures and identifies the many other kinds of wildlife that share these waters. Juneau Whale Watching Tour
Our 2 hour whale watching adventure begins when we board a coach bus that departs downtown Juneau from the Mt. Roberts Tram parking lot. A 25 minute journey through the picturesque landscape of Southeast Alaska will take you to Auke Bay Harbor. "All aboard!” and you’re off to Alaska waters and the ultimate whale watching experience. On our quest for whales, we will be on the lookout for bald eagles, seals, sea lions, black bear and more of Alaska’s wildlife. The star of the tour is the humpback whale, but we are always looking out for the playful orcas. 6.5 Hour Kenai Fjords National Park Wildlife & Glacier Tour
We will head out into Resurrection Bay and venture into Kenai Fjords National Park viewing many species of wildlife as we travel toward one of Kenai Fjords most active and impressive tidewater glaciers. Here we will watch and listen to the powerful sights and sounds of the glacier. Most likely we will see ice breaking off (calving) and crashing into the ocean. It truly is a magnificent sight! Once we’ve spent some quality time at the glacier, we’ll venture out to do some more wildlife viewing while taking in some of nature’s most spectacular scenery. Depending on weather and wildlife sightings, we may visit the Chiswell Islands (a National Wildlife refuge and Bird sanctuary) and/or Cape Resurrection (one of the largest black-legged kittiwake rookeries in Alaska). Kenai Fjords is one of the best areas for whales and wildlife viewing and offers the opportunity to see a variety of different species. Join locally trained captains for a personalized Alaskan whale watching tour. Our departure times are not the same everyday because each day is different. Cruise ships arrive at different times and passengers may have different activities planned for the day. We schedule the tour for the time that best fits each guests' needs and time frame. Itinerary: If your tour time is 9:30am, this is the time we plan for transportation to leave! PLEASE arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the listed tour time, so that we can leave on time! We would then plan to arrive at the harbor where our boats depart by 10:00am. When you arrive at the harbor, you will be met by your captain or guide and have an opportunity to use the restroom on land (there is one on the boat, it's just not as roomy) and then you will head down the dock to board our vessel for your whale watching adventure! You will start heading back to the harbor at approximately 12:35pm (depending on where you are) so that you can be disembarking by about 12:55pm to meet your returning transport at 1:00pm. FAQs: **Q. Proceeding out of the harbor, you will help the captain look for killer whales (orcas), humpback whales, harbor seals, and other wildlife. During the summer, large numbers of herring come into the bay and travel through the Icy Strait. This brings predators to feed. The yearly spawning of salmon also catapults the entire region into a feeding frenzy and brings all things into life. If the opportunity arises, our cruises will help you witness humpback whales bubble-feeding and orcas traveling in pods to teach hunting skills and feed their young.

4 Hour Spring Wildlife Cruise
Join us for our first cruise of the season as we search for gray whales on their incredible annual migration. Every year, gray whales migrate over 10,000 miles round-trip between Baja and the Bering and Chukchi Seas – the longest migration route of any mammal. These whales begin migrating north in late February and arrive in Alaska in the spring, spending the summer feeding in shallow Arctic waters before migrating south in mid-October. They deliver their calves in the warm, protected lagoons off the coast of Baja in the winter. Our Spring Wildlife Cruise takes you through Resurrection Bay to the edge of the Gulf of Alaska in search of our returning visitors. In addition to gray whales, watch for Steller sea lions, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, bald eagles, and other whales including humpbacks and orcas. Occasionally, you will see mountain goats with their newly born kids and black bears foraging along the coastline of Resurrection Bay. 4 Hour Orca Quest Cruise
For a limited time in early summer, this cruise departs from Seward in search of our favorite black and white marine mammal – the orca. Join Major Marine Tours – the local whale experts – as we search for orcas, distinguishable by their stately dorsal fins and fascinating social behaviors. From mid-May through mid-June, orcas frequent the waters outside of Seward in search of food. Join us for an amazing day on the water as we search for orcas during this prime time for orca watching.
