Only 60 miles from Fairbanks, this world-renowned resort offers a day of rest and relaxation in the historical location discovered by natives and early miners. Enjoy the mineral hot springs in a beautiful natural setting. The world’s largest year-round ice museum is your first stop at Chena Resort. Created from over 1,000 tons of ice and snow the ice museum contains spectacular ice carvings for your enjoyment. Along the way we almost always spot Moose. Food and beverages are available at the local restaurant. Please bring a swimsuit, flip-flops, and a towel. *Itinerary: - 11:30 am: Departure from Fairbanks - 1:00 pm: Guided Ice Museum Tour - 2:00 pm: Guided Geothermal Tour (optional) - 3:00 pm: Soak in hot springs rock lake (must be 18 or older) or indoor pool - 5:00 pm: Leaving Chena Hot Springs Resort - 6:30 pm: Arrival back in Fairbanks
