About us
What we'll do
Experience the thrill of Alaska’s official state sport on an authentic dog sled ride with a competitive Iditarod team! A professional dog musher will be your guide.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by friendly sled dogs! Learn about mushing and meet the team before heading out onto our private trails with Denali views. These are the same trails we train on for Iditarod, Alaska’s famous thousand-mile race. All of the dogs in your team have either run the race or are actively training to run the Iditarod one day!
Watch their energy-level skyrocket as we get the team ready to run! You may have heard the saying “Hold your horses!,” we like to say “Hold your huskies!” because the dogs will be so excited to go!
Your guide will cover a few safety tips before inviting you to get comfortable in the sled. Notice the noise level drop as you take off down our private training trails! Feel the dogs’ focus and determination as they power around corners, and up and over hills. Soak in the natural sounds around you as you immerse yourself in peaceful solitude. Enjoy breathtaking views of Denali among a beautiful, snow-covered Alaskan landscape.
After your ride, we’ll turn the team lose to enjoy some free playtime! Mingle with the dogs and watch as they zip around you playfully!
We’ll have cookies and hot cocoa waiting for you inside our gift shop. We can even bring a few dogs in with us! All of our guides have professional racing experience. We welcome your questions, and we love to share stories from the trails over a warm cup of cocoa!

We live on-site with our dogs in beautiful Willow, Alaska! We are 70 miles north of Anchorage, about a 1.5-hour scenic drive on main, highway roads. If you are headed to/from Denali or Talkeetna, we are on our way!
Our home sits at the base of Hatcher Pass, which connects our small town with Palmer. In the summertime, our guests can drive the Pass to get between these two destinations and combine activities for a day trip to the Mat-Su Valley!
* How to get here:
Most of our guests find renting a car or using a ride-sharing app such as Uber/Lyft to be the most economic option for transportation.
We partner with a couple of shuttle companies that provide transportation from Anchorage at $125 per hour. The minimum roundtrip to our place is 4.5 hours.
Please call to arrange shuttle transportation!
*What to wear:
We provide custom-made winter parkas for all of our guests to use during their visit! In addition, we recommend the following layers:
- Synthetic or wool long underwear
- Snow pants
- Snow boots
- Synthetic or wool socks
- Neck gaiter or scarf
- Winter hat and gloves
*We don’t have a weight limit, but it is really helpful to know ahead of time if guests are on the larger side. That way we can plan for it and allocate a larger number of dogs for the ride. Our seats in the sled are a standard size, slightly wider than an airline seat. We also have the option for guests to stand if they are unable to fit.
*For any guests weighing 250 or more, please indicate in the "booking notes" during checkout.
