Salmon Berry Travel & Tours was founded on the idea that life in Alaska should be fun!
Throughout our history, this idea has delighted countless guests of all ages from around the world and delivered appreciation and awards. In a world of big box tours and commercialized Alaska experiences, we continue to deliver genuine and authentic Alaska hospitality, day tours, and tailor-made multi-day travel packages. It’s a small tour philosophy and a customized experience that provides lifelong memories every season of the year.

SUSTAINABILITY
Salmon Berry has made a commitment to the environment in an effort to keep Alaska pristine for future generations. We have designed our tours to have minimal impact on the communities that we visit; from our reusable water bottle initiative to our rechargeable hand warmer initiative, to our naturalist-led Anchorage Eco Tour, we empower our team and our guests to join us in a sustainable tourism mindset. As stewards, our team has donated personal time to partake in local trail building/restoration projects and city-wide clean-ups. We have partnered with the Renewable Energy Alaska Project on their Tour Green Program and the Beluga Whale Alliance as a part of their collaborative research to support local organizations striving to make a difference.

Join the local VIPs to watch the beginning of the Last Great Race!
Every year we make the trip out to Willow, Alaska, for the Official Start of the Iditarod - The Last Great Race on Earth! This event is full service beginning with transportation, storytelling by our professional tour guides, and a light breakfast of freshly baked scones and hot chocolate in transit to Willow.
Our private hospitality tent is right at the Starting Line, a great spot for watching the mushers take off! We also provide extra activities like hula hooping and snowshoeing! Enjoy an Alaska-style camp lunch all day on the lake. Make sure to bring your camera to capture the mushers and their teams as they sprint off on their approximately 1,000-mile race!

-Pick up available from major hotels located in Anchorage

Cancellation Policy
<p>Customers will receive a full refund if canceled within 48 hours of the initial booking. If canceled 7 days or more before the tour date, a 90% refund will be provided. Within 7 days, no refund applies. Date changes can be made with no penalty, based on availability and at this time, the tour is nonrefundable. Customers will receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact us by phone to change, cancel or inquire about a cancellation. No-shows will be charged full price.</p>
