Seward, is the gateway to the spectacular Kenai Fjords National Park and is located about 120 miles from Anchorage, is surrounded by coastal fiords, glaciers, and high mountain peaks. It looks like no other place in Alaska, maybe the entire world.

Seward Activities
You can’t visit Seward without taking a trip to Kenai Fiords National Park. Day cruises range from three to nine hours and are available for all ages. Go deep into the park and see wildlife you’d never encounter anywhere else.
Flightseeing by helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft is also available and private boat charters stand at the ready to take you on the trip of a lifetime.

About Seward
Seward is situated on magnificent Resurrection Bay, which lies at the foot of 3,022-ft. Mt. Marathon. It was in 1792 that a Russian fur trader found shelter in a storm in Resurrection Bay. The bay got its name because its discovery came on the Russian Orthodox Sunday of the Resurrection.
Weather in Seward means daytime temperatures at about 61 degrees, with nighttime lows in the lower 50s.

40 Minute Eastbound Tour
This tour takes us towards the 2nd largest icefield in the United States, the Sargent Icefield. We will fly close to at least 7 spectacular glaciers and explore remote Nellie Juan Lake where sometimes we will see large brown bears and herds of moose. Waterfalls and rolling meadows stretch far on this flight, so have your camera ready!
4 Hour Orca Quest Cruise
For a limited time in early summer, this cruise departs from Seward in search of our favorite black and white marine mammal – the orca. Join Major Marine Tours – the local whale experts – as we search for orcas, distinguishable by their stately dorsal fins and fascinating social behaviors. From mid-May through mid-June, orcas frequent the waters outside of Seward in search of food. Join us for an amazing day on the water as we search for orcas during this prime time for orca watching. These incredible marine mammals are distinguishable by their prominent dorsal fins, which can grow up to six feet tall, and their fascinating social behaviors. Our experienced captains will explore the area’s orca hot spots and communicate with other vessels about recent sightings to maximize your chances of seeing orcas. This tour is an extension of our 30-minute Bear Glacier Tour. We will continue towards Aialik and Pederson Glacier which will allow us to get a better look at the Harding Icefield traveling south. We will view a 400-foot-tall tidewater glacier as well as have a good opportunity to see Alaskan Bears, goats, and other wildlife.

Bridal Veil Falls Extended Resurrection Bay Kayaking Adventure
Seward, Alaska has some of the most sought-after sea kayaking right at our doorstep! Resurrection Bay is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is home to several Alaska state parks that offer abundant opportunities to hike, sea kayak, and explore! Looking to maximize your trip in Resurrection Bay while in Seward, Alaska? Experience magnificent Bridal Veil Falls, extend your water time, explore Tonsina Point and more! This three-quarter-day trip is also a great option if you’re trying to decide between a half-day and full-day kayaking adventure. This trip follows a similar route to our Tonsina Point trip. We launch from Lowell Point and hug the coastline to Tonsina Point before redirecting our route around Tonsina Point’s signature alluvial fan. Keep an eye out for eagles, jumping salmon, sea ducks, diving birds, porpoises, harbor seals, and sea lions. When we arrive at Bridal Veil Falls, we will take a short walk on an unmaintained trail to the base of the waterfall, explore the surrounding area, and enjoy a small snack and a hot drink. Time permitting, there may be an option to make a second landing at Tonsina Point. Enjoy a sandwich lunch and experience the magnificent surroundings, watch Salmon fight their way upstream, and explore the surrounding rainforest. From Tonsina Point or Bridal Veil Falls, we make our final paddle back to Lowell Point.

Exit Glacier Nature Hike with Guide
This 2.5 hr. hiking adventure is great for, viewing a glacier without getting on the ice, families, groups, or adventurers with limited time to experience the beauty of a glacier in Seward, Alaska. These trips are offered morning and afternoon. Masks are required for the shuttle transportation and the hiking shuttle by everyone! Federal regulations, CDC, Local and State rules and regulations apply! Drivers will take temp before boarding the shuttle and those with fever will not be permitted to board. Safety First! What To Expect: This trip departs from Adventure Sixty North at the north end of Seward. We will shuttle you from and to your local B&B, local campground, and local Hotels at no cost! We will head to Exit Glacier to begin your hike with knowledgeable guides. As we drive out to the glacier, we will stop at the pull-out for a great view of Exit Glacier, a definite photo moment! Our shuttle van will also stop at the Kenai Fjords National Park welcome sign for a photo opportunity! The visitor center stop is a favorite of our guests and after that brief stop, we are all about the hike to the overlook where you will be looking down onto the toe of the Exit Glacier. What to Consider: This hiking experience goes rain or shine, there can be a definite change in temperature as you get close to the glacier with breezes blowing down from the Ice Field. We recommend that you take an extra layer if you typically are cold-natured. The hiking trail is a partially black-toped trail that turns into an undeveloped hiking trail which can be slippery and challenging to people that are not used to hiking nature trails. At points, you will hike on gravel, rock and encounter a narrow beam bridge crossing small drainage. If you consider yourself unstable with walking on an undeveloped trail as described, we recommend that you not participate in this hike for your safety!
