Full Day Heli-Fishing Flyfishing Trip
There is no greater access to Alaska’s wild rivers than via a helicopter! We run heli-fishing trips on multiple rivers throughout Southcentral Alaska, which is easily accessible from the Anchorage area. Our single day heli-fishing trips provide an amazing remote Alaskan river experience with much more ease than what you can accomplish on the road system. This is an opportunity to get out to nature, with no one else nearby and quickly start casting your fly in our amazing Alaskan tributaries, which are flowing with fish! This is a perfect trip for folks who want a wilderness trip/experience but don’t want to spend their whole time in Alaska in one remote location. Most trips depart from the beautiful town of Talkeetna in the shadow of Denali. Denali provides an amazing view as you are flown out to some of the most phenomenal fishing in Alaska. Depending on the time of year we target all 5 species of Pacific salmon. Huge bruiser rainbow trout are always present as well as Arctic grayling and Dolly Varden. Just like all our trips all fishing gear, tackle, food and drinks are included in the price of the trip except a fishing license which is easily purchased from the state. These trips can even be booked fairly last minute but more notification is always better when involving air travel. Please feel free to call or email to find out more information on these amazing trips!

Salmon Shore Fishing
Come fishing with Chum Fun Salmon Charters, Juneau's only shoreside fishing adventure! About: Here in Juneau, we do a lot of our fishing from the docks and shorelines, not from boats. That's why we offer a local, hands-on fishing experience where our guests get to cast and reel instead of sitting in a boat without touching their rods! The Experience Let us get you outfitted with the best gear including rods, reels, tackle, rain gear (rain tops, rain bottoms, and rainboots), and an Alaska fishing license if you need one. Begin with a trip to the Macauley Salmon Hatchery where our guests will learn about the life cycles of a salmon, see the saltwater aquarium and explore the saltwater touch tanks. Then we will put our gear and knowledge to use and begin fishing at one of the best shoreside fishing locations around! All transportation is provided. In no time, you will be catching your own wild Alaska salmon! You may also see seals, sea lions, and eagles. Our first stop will be at the Macaulay Salmon Hatchery to take a tour and learn about the lifecycle of Alaska Salmon. The Macaulay tour is one of the highlights of our trip, including touch tanks that allow kids and parents alike to have close encounters with Juneau's marine life. After the tour, we will walk down to the dock and fish right at the mouth of the river. Our guides will provide training on how to reel, cast, and set a hook. Then it is up to you to land a gorgeous, Alaska salmon! You have two options. Either you can catch and release or get your fish professionally cleaned, packed, and shipped home through one of our local processing partners. Feel free to ask our guides for their favorite salmon recipes on the van ride back to downtown Juneau!

Glacier Bay Remote Island River Fishing
We’ll be fishing a wild “last frontier” type area with no signs of civilization to be found. As we fish and hike along the river, you’ll be humbled by the mountains that rise up to form the river valley. The area is so remote that we almost never see any other anglers on this river. Brown bears, however, are plentiful and we will be keeping an eye out for them throughout the day. Depending on the time of year, we’ll fish for Salmon and/or Trout. Both fly rods and spinning rods will be available, as well as lessons for those new to fishing. *FAQ - Do I need a fishing license? Yes, if you’re age 16+. A 1 day (24 hr) license can be purchased online for $15. - What should I bring? Rain gear, water, snack/lunch, and a sense of adventure! - Do I need to tip my guide? Gratuity is greatly appreciated if you are satisfied with the service of your guide. Although it is customary to tip your guide, it is not required. We are often asked the size of a typical tip. An appropriate guideline is 15% of the cost of the trip. Feel free to alter this as you see fit. - Can we keep our catch? We highly encourage catch and release, but ultimately, the decision is up to the angler. We encourage catch and release for a number of reasons. For one, we don't want to attract bears while on the river. Additionally, Pink Salmon do not freeze very well- they are best eaten the day of. If the primary goal of your trip is to keep fish to take home, we suggest saltwater fishing instead of river fishing. Alternatively, you could book both saltwater and freshwater trips to get a taste of both worlds! *Minimum of 4 people for a trip to go. If less than 4 people sign up for departure, NatVentures will reach out with other tour options that day. *Maximum of 6 people. If your party is larger, please reach out; we may be able to accommodate with a second boat!

Note: If fishing is not your thing, we can just do bear watching and explore the island via miles of old logging roads. *FAQ - Do I need a fishing license? Yes, if you’re age 16+.
