Our most popular rental bike is the all day mountain bike or hybrid bike. Hardtrail mountain bikes or hybrid bikes are great options for exploring town and nearby trails. If you choose to go electric, we have fantastic e-bike options with the all-purpose Trek Verve 2+ model.

White Pass Train & Bike Tour
You board the historic White Pass & Yukon Route narrow-gauge railroad for a scenic hour and a half trip through the coastal mountains to British Columbia, Canada. There you meet your professional guides, versed in the ecology and history of the area, who take you for a short van ride along the scenic Klondike Highway to the summit of the White Pass. After a bicycle and safety orientation, it is fifteen scenic miles downhill ride from the summit to the sea! As you coast along the paved Klondike Highway on this one and a half hour bike ride you make multiple stops for photos of the historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, cascading waterfalls, awe-inspiring glaciers, majestic mountains, and other historic sites. You even get to ride your bike across the US border! After your thrilling ride, enjoy time in historic downtown Skagway. On this tour your senses awaken to sights and sounds of Alaska that can only be experienced on two wheels. This fun excursion offers a unique way to tour Skagway and the surrounding area. Glacial Fjord Bicycle Tour
We depart town by van and head to our starting point along the Lutak Inlet. As you pedal along the flat, paved road carved into the steep-walled fjord, you might spot bald eagles, salmon, whales, sea lions, seals, and even bears. We ride to the end of the inlet where the Chilkoot River joins the ocean and salmon congregate for their ancient quest to reach the spawning grounds. We continue riding along the river to Chilkoot Lake, a 3-mile long lake surrounded by glaciated mountain peaks. Take in the gorgeous views across the emerald lake, surrounded by glaciers, waterfalls, and jagged mountain peaks. This is a wonderful way to combine fresh Alaskan air and mild exercise in beautiful Haines, Alaska. E-Bikes are available for this tour. Guests may choose to use a Trek Verve+ 2 pedal-assist bike for this ride.
Rainforest Bicycle Tour
During the Gold Rush, Dyea was Skagway’s rival city, booming with 10,000 people. Now nature has reclaimed the land, leaving only ghosts of its Gold Rush past. This scenic tour starts with an informative van tour along the spectacular coastal inlets to the west of Skagway. Your professional guides tell you stories of the rush of 98’ and inform you about the ecology of this rich area. After a bicycle and safety orientation, your guide leads your small group on a bike route that covers five miles of flat terrain for easy pedaling. You ride through the lush rainforest, visit historic ruins, see the Chilkoot trailhead, and venture out to the coastal tidal flats where eagles, salmon, colorful wildflowers, and dazzling mountains are often in view. Haines Chilkat E-Bike Adventure
Visit the Mud Flats of the glacially fed Chilkat Valley on this 7-mile E-bike ride. We depart the bike shop and ride up the hill into the historic Fort Seward. After exploring and discussing this recent history, we ride down to the mud flats of the Chilkat Valley. Here you can enjoy a walk to along the shore and experience the serenity of the glacial valley breeze. You may witness bald eagles, coastal brown bears and even marine mammals fishing for salmon. We ride back to town through a rainforest neighborhood where locals have built their own unique homesteads. Before heading back to the shop, we’ll stop at a view point across the harbor where you can see the town and the Cathedral Mountains towering above.
Klondike Summit To Sea Bicycle Tour
Your tour begins with a twenty five minute narrated van ride through historic Skagway and up the coastal mountains to the summit. You retrace the route taken by thousands of gold-crazed stampeders during the rush of 1898. Along the way your experienced guides versed in the history and ecology of the area will entertain you with stories of past and present life in the gateway to the Klondike. Haines Bike, Hike & Brew
See the sites in beautiful Haines, Alaska, followed by a sampling of a locally brewed beer! We meet at our bike shop for bike fitting and orientation. From our shop, it’s a scenic 2-mile coastal ride to the Battery Point trailhead. We’ll hike a mile and a half through the spruce, hemlock, and cottonwood rainforest environment on a well-maintained trail to the beach at Battery Point. This is a great place to spot seals, sea lions, whales, and many types of birds. We’ll hike back out to our bikes and ride along the waterfront into town, stopping at a great photo spot. From there, we bike up to the Haines Brewing Company to sample their locally crafted beers (root beer and tea are also available.) The Haines Brewing Company occupies a state-of-the-art building on Main St. in downtown Haines. We’ll stop in and sample three 5 oz. pours of their locally crafted beers. After tasting we’ll ride the final mile back to our bike shop to finish the tour. E-Bikes are available for this tour. Guests can choose to use a Trek Verve+ 2 E-Bike for the riding portion of this tour.
E-Bike & Hike
We are excited to offer the first and only e-bike tour in SE Alaska. Join us for an easy and enjoyable electric-assist bicycle ride on the road to nowhere, the end of our paved road system. This road dead ends at the edge of extensive wilderness, where you will then take a guided hike on an enjoyable trail though dense rainforest, along a stream with waterfalls, rapids and calm sections. We take a break at the stream's edge, which just may be the quietest and most relaxing place on your whole vacation. You will then return hike to the waiting e-bikes, and on the return bicycle ride we'll make another stop along the Inside Passage shoreline to check out the sea and beach comb a little bit on the rocky shore. Smoked salmon, picnic tables, and a great view are waiting as we return to our scenic oceanfront facilities. A convenience store with craft beers is on site. All our tours provide round trip transportation from your cruise ship/hotel, and excellent gear is provided for all your needs.

I can control my speed and direction on the pavement, however, I am new to mountain biking and have never ridden dirt trails or ridden off-road once or twice a year. - Novice: I have some experience riding dirt trails or off-road terrain and have been mountain biking several times. I can control my bike speed and direction on smooth trails and moderately uneven terrain, but often walk my bike when things get rooty. I am able to anticipate the terrain and know when to shift gears some of the time. - Intermediate: I have been mountain biking for at least 2 years and ride regularly. I am able to control my speed and direction on moderately steep and technical singletrack trails which may include tight trees, mud, loose rocks, and sand. I can roll over small obstacles but I don’t take my wheels off the ground. I can anticipate the terrain and know when to shift gears. - Advanced: I am a strong rider who has been mountain biking for 5 or more years. I am comfortable climbing and descending steep, technical, and exposed terrain that includes rocks, tree roots, primitive trails, tight switchbacks, short drops, and jumps. *Fitness Needed for Our Fat Tire Bike Tours in Anchorage - Leisurely: My main source of exercise is walking or light workouts once or twice a week. I enjoy getting outside and walking or doing light activities. I prefer mostly flat or downhill terrain. Short, small hill climbs are doable, but less is ok with me. (Less than 200 feet of climbing) - Recreational: Weekend warrior or commute to work or do spin classes in the gym, I enjoy an active lifestyle, working out 2 to 3 times a week with an occasional physical challenge. I enjoy gentle rolling terrain and feel great after reaching the top of a hill climb. (Less than 500 feet of climbing) - Active: Fitness is central to my life. I ride my bike regularly weekly (spin classes count!) or I work out 4 to 5 times a week physically challenging myself with almost every workout. I enjoy hills and like getting some speed. (Less than 1,000 feet of climbing) - Avid: Fitness is my life and everything I do revolves around my workouts and nutrition. Chilkoot Lake Bike & Paddle
Combine two outstanding activities on a 12-mile bike ride along a glacially carved fjord followed by kayaking across Chilkoot Lake! Head out from Haines by bicycle on a winding, paved road on the shores of the Lutak Inlet and take in the dramatic view of the fjord waters where whales, seals, and sea lions can be seen. We'll continue up the Chilkoot River, following the path of the spawning salmon where brown bears are frequently seen. From here, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch. After lunch, we'll get fitted for our kayak portion of the tour. We'll kayak the emerald waters of the vast lake which is uncrowded and surrounded by breathtaking views. Waterfalls tumble from thousands of feet above, and the lush green forest touches the shoreline. We’ll end the tour by driving back into town. After a quick drive through the small town of Haines, we’ll drop you at the ferry dock.
