Description
8 mm 925 sterling silver or gold plated studs
Stud earrings are very subtle. Perfect for those who like small earrings or looking to add a fun detail to their second or third piercings.
With each piece, the salmon skin is tanned, dyed and coated with epoxy for a waterproof seal. Due to the nature of the material, each has a unique scale pattern and color, making them a one of a kind. We do not catch the salmon for the sole purpose of using their skin for these products. It is a byproduct of the salmon we catch and otherwise would be discarded. We eat the fish and use the skin to share with the world many stories of salmon.

Kitchen Science Alaska
Meet local Alaskans and understand why everything about food is different in the 49th state. This unique and personal experience will also give you the skills to bring your Alaskan food favorites home while creating memories of life in the Last Frontier! The Chef and the Owner of the Historic Skagway Inn & Alaska House Restaurant, located on the notorious Gold Rush era “Paradise Alley”, share how successful food preservation technologies from the time of the Gold Rush are still used today and show you modern cooking skills - an artful blend of the old and new. Get a behind-the-scenes look at organic gardening in the Inn’s kitchen garden. Understand the science that transforms garden and seafood items into delicious meals. Uncover the local secrets of Alaskan organic gardening and how to prepare, cook and preserve local food favorites. Our Cordon Bleu chef shows you the tips and tricks of professional knife skills, and teaches you to be an expert in selecting and using the best knives. His insights for cooking and preparing food are easy to apply in your own kitchen! You will learn how to smoke Alaskan halibut or salmon, learn how the sun and temperature affect greens grown in our Northern Garden and peek into making sourdough bread as part of the Alaska food story. After all the learning you will enjoy an individually served tasting of smoked fish, vegetables from the garden, sourdough bread and finish up by making (and eating) home-made ice cream! You will conduct three experiments that include smoking (and tasting) Alaska Salmon (an ancient form of preservation) using purple cabbage to determine pH of foods and making your own ice cream dessert. This unique experience will give you the skills to bring your Alaskan food favorites home.

Skagway's Hidden Gem
As the day winds down, Skagway reveals its quieter, more intimate side. Most tours have ended, the roads are nearly empty, and the surrounding wilderness feels untouched. This exclusive small-group experience invites you to explore Skagway’s untold stories and hidden corners during the golden afternoon hours, when the light softens and the mountains glow. Your journey begins at the cruise ship dock, where you will be welcomed by a friendly local guide and escorted to a comfortable tour vehicle. As you drive through the peaceful streets of Skagway’s historic district, you’ll hear stories of the town’s lawless Gold Rush past, filled with fortune-seekers, con artists, and legendary figures. With the roads nearly empty, your experience is unhurried and deeply personal. The tour continues beyond the town into the surrounding mountain corridor, offering pristine views and a calm atmosphere rarely experienced during the busy hours. As we make our way up the Klondike Highway, we’ll cross the Denali Fault Line, a powerful geological feature that marks the meeting point of two shifting tectonic plates. From there, the road winds into the dramatic terrain of the White Pass, where rugged mountains and glacier-carved valleys begin to rise all around us. Throughout the tour, your guide shares stories that weave together the area’s Indigenous history, natural wonders, and the resilient spirit of Skagway’s local community. Whether you're drawn to quiet landscapes, rich storytelling, or meaningful travel experiences, this afternoon adventure reveals a side of Skagway that few ever see.
