Silver Hand Artist Ramy Brooks creating authentic handmade Alaska Native Art in Alaska, each piece is unique and comes with the Silver Hand Tag to verify its authenticity. Ramy grew up locally on the Yukon River between fish camp, the village of Rampart, and Fairbanks. Ramy’s work reflects his Athabascan and Yupik heritage, experiences growing up in a rural environment, subsistence lifestyle, and his love of the outdoors. Inspirations come from the wildlife, the wilderness, and the importance of their role in Alaska Native culture like fishing, smoked salmon, hunting, and berry picking. Ramy uses a combination of natural dyes (blueberries, cranberries, alder bark, etc.) and inks to highlight his work. Antlers are cut and sanded by hand, engraved, dyed, polished, and then riveted with copper and/or silver. The jewelry is a mix of traditional and contemporary artwork that allows Ramy to share his love for his heritage and the beauty he has experienced in his many adventures throughout Alaska.

Skagway 2.5 Hour Sailing Adventure

Welcome aboard the beautiful Hopscotch, a 50' Beneteau Oceanis SV Hopscotch is our pride and joy! She is 50 ft of adventure, love, sweat, and (occasionally) tears! One thing that makes Hopscotch unique is that she is foreign built (in France), however she has Jones Act Waivers to operate in the waters of Washington State and Alaska. She is a USCG documented vessel, ported out of Skagway, Alaska, and can take up to 6 guests at one time along with crew. Hopscotch is rated as an Ocean Going Vessel (she has crossed the Atlantic) and we take her upkeep and maintenance extremely seriously. We operate Hopscotch in remote areas, and safety is our top priority. One unique thing about your Hopscotch crew is that they all have their US Coast Guard Captains License. As required by the Coast Guard, they are also all trained in CPR/First Aid, and participate in a Random Drug Testing Program. Hopscotch operates with a Captain (Always Brendan) and a Chef (we have three chefs that rotate: Branden, Ben, and Bri). •”Grab the helm, hoist the main!” and feel the power! We encourage our guests to get as involved in the operation of Hopscotch as they would like, or just sit back and relax, it’s up to you! • Sail the deepest, longest, and prettiest fjord in North America. •Learn the history of Skagway and the Lynn Canal (from a maritime perspective!) • Amazing scenery: including wildlife, and gigantic waterfalls. • Warm drinks, blankets, and all the necessary treats to make your Alaskan Sailing adventure cozy, safe, and wonderful no matter the weather!
