On day 6 of our canoe trip, we watched the silty, frothy waters of the Milk River empty into the Snake River. Up until this point, the river runs fairly clear, all those iron red stones looking up through the current. Now this milky, glacial river spills in, clouding that view to the river bottom, but bringing a rich beautiful emerald green to the water.
