Description
Using some of the last of my spalted Alaskan birch supply, I crafted this smooth and shapely bass body. I added a birch neck and Indian ebony fingerboard, Gotoh lightweight tuners, TusQ nut, Hipshot KickAss bridge, Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound P/J pickups, and 920D Arkansas-made control plate to complete this eight pound pleasure treasure. It has a 30" scale, 9.5" radius, and a full two-octave range. The wood was brought from Haines, Alaska to my Juneau riverside workshop by a grateful patron and commercial fisherman to support my art and craftsmanship. This is #191 of my handmade instruments, not intended to be factory or CNC perfect, just a unique heritage bass made for a lifetime of satisfaction.
