Alaska Yukon Evergreens:
Playing in the Alaska and Yukon’s forests is magical fun. White and black spruce, lodge pole pine, cedar, tamarack, hemlock and alpine fir are the main evergreens. Aspen, birch, and poplar bring the sweet smells of spring with unfolding buds and gold in the hills in the fall.
An Alaskan Tlingit legend tells of the hemlock and the spruce growing tall competing for the sunlight. The hemlock was being very selfish and too proud of himself. As punishment, the Raven made the hemlock soften up and bow his head. That is why you can identify the hemlock by the droopy topmost branch and why his hand is soft and friendly to shake compared to the prickly spruce. I love that story!
In northern Yukon, the Gwitchin elders say spruce pinecones make the best medicine as a gently boiled tea. Spruce tips are very high in vitamin C, and surprisingly makes a really good jam and beer! Tamarack tea is good for upset stomachs, colds, fatigue, or for general good health. Sticky buds from the poplar tree can be applied to a sore to aid healing, and in the old days the ladies made good soap from the poplar ashes mixed with caribou or bear fat.
Beads I use include:
Aventurine: independence
Fluorite: stability, calmness
Jade*: promotes longevity
Moss agate*: optimism, healing
Malachite*: aids sleep, lucky money stone
Copper*-stimulates optimism
Sterling Silver*- eases stress
Czech and Japanese glass
*can be found in Alaska and Yukon.

This bracelet is the standard average length of 7.5" long. If you require a longer or shorter bracelet, please convo me with your wishes and I am happy to do that for you!
If you want a two strand version, I made a wrap style length as well. That is available in the variation option in this listing.
If you want the necklace, it is a single strand 18". I'm happy to make it your favorite length and will calculate your price by the inch based on the base price. Don't hesitate to ask:)!
Please review my shipping policies, it seems 7-10 days is the average for receiving your package, once I get it in the mail.
