About us

I am R.J., a local Alaskan Native of the Sun house to the Kik'sadi Clan born and raised on the same land in Sitka, Alaska, as my ancestors.

My father raised me to follow my passion. That is spending every waking minute appreciating the land and living off of it. In many ways, I perceived it as a way to teach me my cultures' indigenous beliefs. One of those is to share, respect and appreciate the land, its' beauty, its' people and its' bounty.

In the stage of becoming an adult, I realized that the lessons my dad has taught me is what I want to share with the world! I have dedicated and spent my life to constantly honing my skills as a professional guide and caretaker of the land I call home.

What we'll do

Our Fowl and Sea Duck package offers a unique experience that combines the thrill of wild game hunting with the relaxation of local scenery. Our experienced guide will take you out on the water for a full day of hunting for ducks, geese and a variety of sea ducks. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and the satisfaction of a day of hunting waterfowl.

With a unique area to waterfowl hunt such as Sitka, Alaska you can be guaranteed with incredible scenery and shooting opportunities. Early bird gets the worm.

We will depart the harbor around two hours before sunrise giving us ample opportunity to arrive early enough to set up decoys and the blind. 1pm is the cutoff and you'll be headed home with a handful.

What to expect / what's provided

*Duration: 8 hours

We offer two different prices for day trips:

Local Trips: $150/person* +tax

Long Range Day Trips: $250/person* +tax

*Local Trips minimum two people, max four people

*Long Range Day Trips minimum three people, max four people

We provide transportation to and from hunting grounds with decoys, a knowledgable guide and hunting lab named Olive from sun up till 4pm.

*You will need to bring:
- Camouflage Rain-gear
- Waders preferred
- Warm insulated SYNTHETIC clothing
- Shotguns and ammo
- Food and water
- Knife
- Insulated SYNTHETIC gloves

*Start times subject to vary, Captain RJ will coordinate with you for the best start time.

Cancellation Policy

All sales final, but please contact us if you have any problems with your order. If you are arriving by cruise ship and the ship is diverted from docking in Sitka due to inclement weather, a full refund will be provided.
