Ketchikan Photo Safari guides are equipped with modern Mid-High Roof Ford Transit Passenger Vans for ease of entry and exit and your comfort and safety. Discover and discuss photographic techniques shared by your Ketchikan Photo Safari guide.
Your guide is also a source of narrated history, facts and stories as you travel from site to site through town and into the wilds. From cell phones to "point ’N’ shoots" to sophisticated SLR cameras, virtually EVERY cruise ship passenger is a photographer but you may be frustrated because your friends ALWAYS take better photos than you. What To Expect
*Duration: 3-hours
*Small Group size with a MAX of 9 participants. We follow all COVID Protocols.
*Tour Departure Point: Ketchikan Photo Safari will depart the shuttle parking lot on Berth #2 near the Bronze Statues and Visitor’s Center. Alternately, we can pick up at the shelter on Berth #4.(We must have cell phone communication with guests being picked up at this alternate site.)
*Capt. Meeting Instructions: Meet your Ketchikan Photo Safari Guide near the Bronze Statues on Berth #2 near the Visitor’s Center 15 minutes PRIOR to scheduled departure time. Look for Photo Safari hand held sign. Guests requesting Bert #4 pick up MUST call 15 minutes prior to departure time.

Most guests enjoy the walk through the historic downtown area which includes several points of interest like Creek Street. If you require a pickup from the downtown cruise ship docks, please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your tour time. For our guests arriving at Ward Cove (NCL and affiliates), we will reach out with more information regarding the Ward Cove shuttle.
Mountain Lakes Tour
This 30-minute flight gives passengers a view of the pristine Tongass National Forest of Southeast Alaska. This temperate rainforest provides opportunities for mountain goat and black bear sightings. The flight rounds five gorgeous lakes that are only accessible via hiking. So if you are only visiting for a short while this tour is for you.
