Downtown Anchorage Segway Tour

Explore the heart of Anchorage! You'll be navigating the historic streets of our beautiful city. Learn our exciting history and visit the places that helped developed Anchorage. Each tour is slightly customized depending on riders' experience, interest, and comfort. You will meet at the E Street Theatre on 315 E Street, downtown Anchorage. There you will have a 15-30 minute orientation, including a short film session to familiarize yourself with the Segway. Then it's off on your 1 hr. to 1 hr. 1/2 Segway Tour. **Some of the sites you may see during the tour include:** - Stops to view King Salmon and Silver Salmon returning from the ocean to spawn at Ship Creek. - A view of the Cook Inlet, the Alaska Range, Mt. Denali and Mt, Susitna at Resolution Park. - The Alaska Statehood Monument with views of Anchorage’s original town site - The historic Alaska Railroad Terminal. - Town Square in the heart of downtown with its fabulous flower displays. - Westchester Lagoon and the multitudes of migratory bird inhabitants. - The Delaney Park Strip and Centennial Rose Garden. - The (Tony Knowles) Coastal Trail.

Lake Hood Segway PT Tour

Explore Alaska's uniqueness in ruggedness, and individualism made through the use of small planes. Aviation buffs will love to watch planes take off and land on Lake Hood. At the museum learn the unique history small planes played in the development of the Alaskan Territory. A great way to see Lake Hood and check out the fascinating seaplane base. You don’t want to miss out on this exceptional Alaskan adventure! This tour includes a tour of the Alaska Aviation Museum as well (Museum admission included)! Take a walking tour through the history of aviation in Alaska after experiencing it yourself on a Segway! You will meet at the Aviation Museum on 4721 Aircraft Drive. Here you will have an approximately 15-30 minute orientation, including a short film session to familiarize yourself with the Segway. Then it's off on your hour to hour 1/2 Segway Tour. The museum pass can be used any time before or after the Tour. You will experience the Segway ride around historic Lake Hood and Lake Spenard. Glide your way through the world’s busiest seaplane basin with airplanes taking off, landing and flying overhead. This tour is great for families, and groups of friends!

The Great Alaskan Earthquake Tour

The Great Alaskan Earthquake Tour program starts with a short movie that literally gives you the history and taste of the Great Alaskan Earthquake that happen in 1964. After orientation and training you are off on the coastal trail to Earthquake Park. Along the way there will be stops to take pictures, view the inlet and Sleeping Lady Mountain. Next to Earthquake Park is Point Warzonof which has the highest concentration of Moose in the City of Anchorage. On the way back, there will be a stop at the Snack Shack at West Winchester Lagoon. From there it is homeward bound, maybe a stop to see Star, if she is agreeable, the second most famous reindeer in Alaska next to Rudolph.
