Challenge and reward await! • Enjoy breathtaking views of Anchorage and interior Chugach Mountains. • Learn about Alaska's alpine forests & tundra environment from a naturalist. • Opportunity for wildlife sightings including bear, sheep, marmot and birds! • Provisions include a granola bar, apple, and cheese stick. TOUR DESCRIPTION: This is quite-the-quintessential Alaska hiking experience. You should pick this adventure if you are looking for a hearty challenge with rewarding sights and a ton of payoff. Experience the thrill of ascending to heights offering 360-degree views of the nearby Cook Inlet and interior Chugach mountains. Gaze at deep, glaciated, u-shaped valleys, and giant ridgelines defining the landscape. Imagine pristine, treeless, tundra loaded with vegetation that you can touch, taste, and feel. If you have never seen alpine before, prepare to be amazed. Ridgeline trekking is an incredibly unique way to see the landscape. While the ascent can be tough, once you arrive at the top, it is truly remarkable. You can see forever! On a clear day, we can even see Mt. Denali hundreds of miles away! Plus, the terrain can be fairly flat, making the trekking a truly enjoyable experience. During the tour, we may see moose, bear, Dall sheep, mountain goats, and a variety of small mammals like arctic squirrels and marmots. There are also plenty of birds to gaze at like bald eagles, thrushes, chickadees, and jays. This is one of our favorite ways to experience Alaska and the Chugach State Park. What do you say, are you in?!

Skagway's Hidden Gem
As the day winds down, Skagway reveals its quieter, more intimate side. Most tours have ended, the roads are nearly empty, and the surrounding wilderness feels untouched. This exclusive small-group experience invites you to explore Skagway’s untold stories and hidden corners during the golden afternoon hours, when the light softens and the mountains glow. Your journey begins at the cruise ship dock, where you will be welcomed by a friendly local guide and escorted to a comfortable tour vehicle. As you drive through the peaceful streets of Skagway’s historic district, you’ll hear stories of the town’s lawless Gold Rush past, filled with fortune-seekers, con artists, and legendary figures. With the roads nearly empty, your experience is unhurried and deeply personal. The tour continues beyond the town into the surrounding mountain corridor, offering pristine views and a calm atmosphere rarely experienced during the busy hours. As we make our way up the Klondike Highway, we’ll cross the Denali Fault Line, a powerful geological feature that marks the meeting point of two shifting tectonic plates. From there, the road winds into the dramatic terrain of the White Pass, where rugged mountains and glacier-carved valleys begin to rise all around us. Throughout the tour, your guide shares stories that weave together the area’s Indigenous history, natural wonders, and the resilient spirit of Skagway’s local community. Whether you're drawn to quiet landscapes, rich storytelling, or meaningful travel experiences, this afternoon adventure reveals a side of Skagway that few ever see.
