* About the Artist:
Rob Goldberg is one of Alaska’s most versatile artists. For over forty years he has painted in watercolor and acrylic, hand-printed limited edition serigraphs, and created many large public art installations in architectural etched glass and wood. Rob is also an accomplished luthier, creating bespoke guitars, violins, cellos, and mandolins.

As an adventurer, Rob has explored much of Alaska on foot or skis, in a river raft, by sea kayak, or rowing dory. The wildness of Alaska is the inspiration for his work.

With over thirty solo exhibitions of his paintings, Rob has created images for magazine covers, printed over fifty editions of serigraphs, created more than a dozen large public art installations, and built enough musical instruments to supply a large orchestra. The Rasmuson Foundation has awarded Rob two Individual Artist Awards.

Rob and his wife, artist Donna Catotti, are Catotti & Goldberg Art Studio, creating art in their studio on the Chilkat peninsula south of the fishing town of Haines, Alaska. They are modern-day homesteaders, having cleared their land and built their home, art studio, and woodworking shop. They cut firewood, grow a large garden and orchard, and catch fish and shellfish in the Chilkat Inlet near their home.

We invite you to explore the Catotti and Goldberg gallery on Voyij.com, where you can witness the artistry that unfolds from the heart of Alaska and acquire a piece that resonates with the beauty and serenity of Haines.

*What is a serigraph?
A serigraph, also known as a silk screen print or serigraphy, is a type of printmaking process that involves using a stencil-based method to create an image on paper or fabric. This technique is often used in the production of limited-edition fine art prints.

Serigraphy allows for vibrant, bold colors and is known for its ability to reproduce intricate details. Artists and printmakers often choose this method for its versatility and the ability to produce multiple prints of the same design. The limited-edition nature of serigraphs can make them valuable to collectors.

In the context of Donna Catotti's artistic practice mentioned earlier, incorporates serigraphy as one of her artistic mediums, contributing to the diversity and richness of her body of work.
