Devil’s Club (Oplopanax horridus) is a healing salve that can be used as a treatment for eczema, burns, scratches, and dry skin. It increases blood circulation and is great as a topical pain reliever.
Apply several times a day, or as needed.
Contains Olive oil, Apricot Oil, and W Devil’s Club Bark.

Devil’s Club (Oplopanax horridus) is a healing salve that can be used as a treatment for eczema, burns, scratches, and dry skin. It increases blood circulation and is great as a topical pain reliever.
This spiky, showy plant has been nicknamed Alaskan ginseng and has historically been used internally as an energy booster and to fight off illness and externally not only for wounds and ailments but as a protective force above doorways. It has been reported that bears have been seen rolling in the roots to soothe their wounds.
Revered by local natives and sourdoughs (and critters too!)Devils Club continues to be used by many throughout Alaska.
*When used internally those with diabetes should take care as Devil’s Club has been shown to reduce blood sugar; Do not use if you are pregnant or nursing.
About the alchemist:
Alaskana Botanicals is the fruition of a longtime alchemist, Jan Parrish, who wildcrafts and heals in Juneau, Southeast Alaska. She spends many an hour seeking wild plants to create her all-natural line of products.
Jan Parrish has been working with herbal remedies since her teens. Being a visionary she noticed the public need for effective, pure, and potent body products. Inspired by her wisdom and knowledge of herbs she began making small batches of salve and lip balm for the public in 2007.
Her passion for gathering plants began as a child with her grandmother who was an herbalist back in Wisconsin. She has practiced Chinese acupuncture and herbal/nutritional medicine for over 30 years.
