About the artist, Pauline Duncan
Pauline Kookesh Duncan is Tlingit of the Eagle Bear clan and the daughter of Matthew and Ramona Kookesh. She was born in Juneau, Alaska and lives in Sitka, Alaska. Her childhood was largely spent in Angoon, Alaska.
Pauline and Al Duncan have 5 children: Melonie Boord, Alicia Gassman, Albert Duncan, Alicia Duncan, and Crystal Duncan. Additionally, they have 8 grandchildren: Mitchel Boord, Marlis Boord, Emma Gassman, Albert Duncan, Tristian Duncan, Nyla Duncan, Alicia Duncan, and Mirla Ashton Gamez. The most recent addition to the family is a great-grandchild: Maylee Boord.
She has won many juried art shows over the years. In 2021, Pauline was awarded an honorary degree from the University of Alaska Doctorate of Education.

Guest/Participant Limitations - None ADA Access - This excursion is not able to accommodate guests with wheelchairs - unless accompanied by a caregiver that can help you up and down the stairs. There is storage for foldable wheelchairs with the luggage. - Sadly there is no room for service animals on the bus. - None of the busses have a lift or ability to transport scooters.
