Day in Seward & Kenai Fjords National Park
Enjoy this full-day tour through scenic Sewards as well Kenai Fjords National Park! This full-day adventure features the best of South Central Alaska. Travel in a comfortable van from Anchorage to Seward, traveling along the scenic Turnagain Arm, past a series of backcountry glaciers and through the Placer River Valley. Upon arrival to the seaside town of Seward, you will embark on a 6-hour coastal catamaran cruise and explore Kenai Fjords National Park and the dramatic coastline of Resurrection Bay. Experience superb wildlife viewing in the Chiswell Islands Wildlife Refuge and get an up-close view of tidewater glaciers. Lunch is included onboard the cruise. That evening, make the return journey to Anchorage via road or the optional rail service back to Anchorage on the Alaska Railroad Coastal Classic with premium Gold-Star service. Kenai Fjords National Park: Spend a day cruising the unspoiled wonders of Kenai Fjords National Park. The narrated tour begins when your vessel ventures out from Seward to Resurrection Bay. Then, you’ll head out to the open waters of the Gulf of Alaska around Cape Aialik to the face of a tidewater glacier. As you marvel at the serene surroundings, listen for the thunder of “calving”—a process by which glaciers shed giant blocks and slabs of ancient ice and send it crashing into the still waters of this protected bay. Watch for a variety of marine life such as humpback whales, orcas, seabirds, sea lions, and otters. A complimentary lunch is served as you keep track of your route on flat-screen monitors.

Leave the crowds behind and experience the wilder side of Sitka’s coast on this small group 4 hour wildlife boat and remote island beach adventure. Traveling through the rugged islands that weave through Alaska's coast, we’ll watch for whales, sea otters, bears, sea lions, and seabirds while learning how these waters shape life along the coast. Our route follows the weather and tide, and each trip we land on a remote beach for a snack and a short walk through driftwood and tidepools. With plenty of time to explore, photograph, or simply take in the silence, this trip offers a rare look at Sitka’s untamed beauty. Guided by an expert naturalist, it’s a chance to slow down, connect with nature, and experience Alaska away from the crowds. what_is_included: * 4-hour guided wildlife boat tour and shore exploration * Expert captain and wildlife naturalist * Small-group access (maximum 6 guests) * Snacks and hot drinks onboard * High-quality binoculars * Rain Boots (Provide Size at Checkout) * Life jackets / safety equipment * All park, permit, and harbor fees what_is_not_included: * Personal camera equipment or tripods * Transportation to and from Crescent Harbor (easy walking distance from cruise drop-off) * Travel insurance (recommended) * Rain Gear and Personal Clothing * Gratuities for your captain and guide itinerary: Arrive — 15 minutes before departure Meet your guide on the northeast side of Centennial Hall, facing Crescent Harbor — just steps from the main cruise passenger drop-off. Your captain and naturalist will share a short safety briefing and introduce the unique islands and wildlife that shape Sitka Sound. Exploring by Boat — About 2 hours Cruise across Sitka Sound, following the rhythm of the tides and weather. Watch for whales, sea lions, puffins, bears, and eagles while learning about the region’s rich marine life and volcanic geology. Beach Exploration — 1 hour Land on a remote island for a snack and guided exploration. Take in the scenery, discover tide pools, driftwood, and rainforest rising just beyond the shore. Join your guide for a short forest walk or simply wander and take in the quiet beauty of Sitka’s wild coast. Whale Watching and Return to Sitka — 45 minutes After the beach, we’ll continue exploring Sitka Sound by boat, visiting new coves and keeping watch for more wildlife along the way.
