Description
This frog (Ganaxtadi - Frog People) has a dragonfly in its belly. With the Frog People not listening to their ancestors, the mosquito was born and we all can thank them for this! The Raven Clan was very powerful in its reign, being centered in the heart of Kluckwan (the Land That Will Always Be There). The Ganaxtadi are also responsible for the worms and the cannibal stories.
Additional design details are complimenting the culture of the Northwest coast Natives. The healing hand images coincide with the alder leaves. Alder wood is a prized anti-carcinogenic wood used for smoking salmon and meats by Alaska Natives.
The background of this shawl is made from 100% silk and the velvet is made from wheat, which gives it a unique shine. The beads are handmade glass and sewn on by hand. From start to finish, this shawl takes 45 days to make.
Material: Burnout Silk Velvet With Handmade Glass Beads
Dimensions: 39" x 39"
Artist: Ray Watkins, adopted Raven
