Description
The Kuspuk has been part of Alaska's clothing history since the mid-1800s when traders brought goods into the state in calico fabric bags. The Yup'ik women crafted a fabric version of a garment they traditionally wore out of skins and furs. The garment has been used as a protective garment over furs and in the summer as a lightweight top or dress.
Kids sizes ranging from 6 months to 12 years.
The Kuspuk is easy to craft and fun to wear.
This is a professionally designed pattern by master seamstress Jodie of Jodie's Sewing Studio.
