In 1987, Frontier Excursions & Adventures was founded by David and Jeanne Gonzalez. Since 2009 we have been owned and operated by Cris Siegel and Katie Leonetti. Cris and Katie are also owners and operators of Skagway Float Tours since 1997, providing outdoor adventures on the Chilkoot Trail and Taiya River near Skagway. We are committed to providing great tours, prices, and service for all our customers.

What we'll do
On our half-day tour to the Yukon border, follow in the path of the Klondike Gold Rush stampeders of 1898 as you travel up the Klondike Highway, past waterfalls and steep mountains of coastal rainforest. See views of the WP&YR railroad, Brackett Wagon Road, Pitchfork Falls and Moore Creek Bridge.
As we cross the 3292 foot summit of the White Pass and the Canadian Border we enter the subarctic alpine tundra of the "Tormented” valley with its crystal blue Summit Lake.
At the Summit, we visit the Welcome to Alaska sign for a photo.
We’ll continue on the journey through spectacular scenery in Canada of dramatic lakes and the Northern Boreal forest wilderness. Stand at the shores of Lakes Tutshi and Tagish, encircled by mile-high mountains, and pose at the Yukon Border sign for a great photo-op. Panoramic wilderness vistas await you.
Bonus stop at Yukon Suspension Bridge includes time for bridge crossing and viewing educational displays. The snack bar is available for food purchases and the Yukon gift shop. Modern restrooms (the only ones from Skagway to Carcross!) are included.
The Yukon is always our best opportunity to encounter wildlife, so we’ll watch for bears, moose, sheep, goats, and more!

Cancellation Policy
In booking a tour you are agreeing to pay for all the seats you reserve, unless you give Frontier Excursions & Adventures 24 hours notice of cancellation or changes to your reservation. For train combination tours, 48 hours' notice is required. For groups of 6 or above, 7 days' notice is required. Failure to give notice of cancellation or changes to your reservation will result in your credit card being charged for all the seats you reserved for the tour. (The only exception is if your cruise ship does not make its scheduled stop at Skagway, if the ship is delayed arriving at the port, or if Frontier Excursions & Adventures must cancel the tour for any reason.)
