We have a little bit of everything. Do you want to hike? Take a drive? Sit in a duck blind? Take a ride in a UTV? Do you need our airport pickup service?

If you've ever wanted to get off the "auto mode" on your camera now is the time. If you're just getting started on your Alaska journey that's even better! We'll ensure you leave with a top notch portfolio of your entire trip of a lifetime. I also shoot and share photos of you and your group along the way.

Our ten hour workshop is even more customizable, We can split up our routine hike/drive/sit in a duck blind or ride in a UTV. We have light snacks and drinks on all tours. The ten hour tour stops for lunch or on occasions gets a picnic basket packed by Tina... if we're lucky enough! Either way there will be good food!

We pick you up at your lodging place and quickly get you into the wild. Our destination will depend on weather and what you like to photograph. After the tour we'll take you back to airport, train station or lodge.

Our airport pickup service greatly limits exposure to other travelers and eliminates waiting for taxis or Ubers. We'll be waiting on YOU!

Meet Todd Whetstine...

Capture Wild Alaska is a brand new establishment that's gaining more of a foothold and trying new ideas in the touring industry every day. CWA takes one person, one couple, one family, one small group or club at a time. Who goes out with you will be decided by you.

My name is Todd Whetstine. My girlfriend and I are living our dream in the wilderness of Alaska just a short drive from Fairbanks. Tina is an administrator/nurse at a long term care facility in FB. She absolutely loves her job. She's the beauty and the brains of the entire operation and she's successful at everything she does!. I don't know how I survived without her.

Me? Well... I'm the strong back part of the team. My friends say I usually do what I want to do over what I should do. That's why I'll be your tour guide/photo coach. I freaking love my job!!

In 2016 I was making six figures and had the best job I ever had and doing photo workshops on the side.

When I got an opportunity to be a photo guide in Alaska I quit my job the next day and headed to Alaska. I never asked how much I'd get paid.

I've made it back every year since. It has been quite a struggle! This is what I love.

I've lived in a tent or in the back seat of my car to do what I want instead of what I should. I've spent the best part of the last decade focusing on becoming the best tour guide I can be. If you want help with photography? I promise, I can help.

We don't want this to feel like a hostage situation. We won't force you to endure bad weather or unsafe road conditions. If you have a medical condition we understand. However if conditions are good and no medical condition exists... please understand you had reserved a seat in our vehicle. We take very small groups and a last minute cancelation hurts us as a small season businesses.
