Jim and Abby Kosmos are the owners and operators of Southeast Aviation and year-round residents of this wonderful island we love to call home! They've been involved in aviation locally since the mid 1980s and love sharing Ketchikan and the Misty Fjords with all of our visitors.
Safety always comes first at Southeast Aviation and we take pride in employing very experienced Alaska Seaplane pilots. Our aircraft are regularly maintained and inspected per strict FAA Regulations to ensure our guests are safe and have an amazing trip.
What we'll do
The best of both worlds Alaska’s wild, wonderful Misty Fjords and the great, awe-inspiring moving rivers of ice, that are the Soule, Chickamin and Through glaciers near the Alaskan-Canadian boundary. And, to give you a chance to soak it all in, we’ll treat you to a mid-flight water landing where you can listen to the silence and reflect on nature’s wonder.
You will create new memories that wake your senses to saltwater fjords carved by millennia of the elements, a geological masterpiece of 3,000-foot waterfalls and sheer granite cliffs. Glide to a perfect water landing in the Misty Fiords and listen to the sounds of silence, the movement of a brown bear, the call of a marbled murrelet, the flight of a bald eagle. Then, marvel at the transformation from the lush, green-mountained Misty’s to the stark rhapsody-in-white that is three of Alaska’s most visited glaciers.
