Santa’s Letters And Gifts Bring Christmas Joy To Good Little Girls, Boys and Pets too!

Pam Sattler knows Santa.

Personally.

Mrs. Claus, too!

"I would say I’ve known them my entire life,” she said brightly, in a slightly cheerful elvish voice. "Ever since I was a child.”

If you’re a good boy or girl Sattler will see to it that Santa sends you a letter for Christmas straight from North Pole, Alaska.

Yes, kiddies, the real North Pole!

If Santa doesn’t have time to correspond due to his heavy duties prior to Christmas Eve, Mrs. Claus will write a letter for him and send it straight to you.

Sattler, who owns Santa’s Letters and Gifts, knows Santa can sometimes be too preoccupied with his Christmas duties that he doesn’t always have time to write letters or take phone calls. That’s where Mrs. Claus comes in.

"Mrs. Claus takes the phone calls when children call and let them know Santa’s busy in the workshop,” said Sattler. "When Santa forgets something or a letter doesn’t get written a note will come from Mrs. Claus apologizing. Santa gets forgetful, but Mrs. Claus keeps him on task. She takes on a lot of roles, including making the cookies.”

Others may pretend to send letters from Santa, but for Sattler, only the real thing will do.

And the reaction of children is positively joyful.

"People are looking for the special thing to come to their child that’s magical,” Sattler said. "We’re in the business of giving magic and creating magical experiences. I’ve had people say it’s worth everything to see the faces of their children when they open the letters. I’ve even had people send me photos and videos.

"There’s magic and joy in knowing it comes straight from the real North Pole.”

But it’s not only letters that Santa sends.

Santa’s Letters and Gifts has entire packages for good boys and girls, not to mention their parents. Cartoon moose-adorned baby onesies are available, as are individually made Alaskan art tiles, Christmas ornaments, carved Alaska sculptures, and Alaska gifts such as wildlife prints, birch ornaments, Eskimo and angel ornaments, and even and earrings made with processed porcupine quill by a local artist made from – you won’t believe it! – roadkill.

"They’re actually quite beautiful,” Sattler said. She wasn’t kidding, either.

Sattler, a graduate of North Pole High School who raised her family in the North Pole, founded the company in 2002 with a mission to produce high-quality Santa Letter Packages and ship them, not by sleigh, but by traditional delivery systems.

Having taken pixel painting and digital photography classes as she got degrees in applied entrepreneurship and then accounting at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, Sattler wanted to put her skills to use in starting a business. Living in North Pole, Alaska, and being a Christmas lover her whole life, things progressed from idea to business.

"I wanted to have a niche, and my niche is to focus on high-quality, unique Christmas things that you can’t get from other companies,” she said. "We offer high-quality earrings made by local artists, hand-made ornaments, cute snowman earrings, all from local artists. I focus on high-quality, unique items you can’t get anywhere else.”

Santa letters can be sent on parchment paper and packages come in a tube with the official North Pole, Alaska, seal.

While Sattler has truly found her niche with Santa as a business partner, and while she enjoys running the business, there are bigger rewards for her.

"It just makes me happy,” she said. "I actually get phone calls from children thanking Santa for coming to their house, and I really enjoy that. Just knowing that parents are happy and over-joyed that what they spent on a package brought joy to the child makes me smile.”
