We’re locals who are passionate about sharing all that we love about Alaska.
That’s why we create great adventures that show off our Alaskan beauty and thrills with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. We hire and train our staff for exceptional customer service and keep our state-of-the-art equipment up to the highest standards for safety. So you get authentic Alaska, guided by those who love her.
From the sky, you can see the grandeur of the fjords. From the zip line, you can feel the adrenaline as you soar through the treetops. From behind the wheel of your kart, you experience the landscape as a living thing. From the ground, you’ll see bears, eagles and other wildlife. No matter if you’re at elevation 0’ or 3,000’, you’ll experience the adventure that is Alaska. There’s a tour for every age, interest and fitness level. From an informative walk in the rainforest to a stunning flight over a fjord, there’s an awesome, must-have experience waiting for you.
We are local and have a deep Alaskan legacy. We have been serving the local community for more than 40 years, first through Taquan Air and then later, through ground tours. Owner Brien Salazar is deeply committed to the region, supplying scheduled and charter service to remote towns, providing year-round and seasonal job opportunities and sharing his love for the world’s largest temperate forest with locals and tourists alike. We support our community with volunteer time, donations and more.
What we'll do
Welcome to Juneau’s all-time peak experience! You’ll navigate along a series of seven ziplines, ten platforms, and a suspension bridge, never leaving the treetops! If you’re nervous, you can build your confidence on 2 practice zips. And since there’s no hand-braking required, you can just sit and zip on this adventure through the rainforest canopy.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes an ascending drive through the scenic Tongass National Forest.
You’ll start out in the heart of the Tongass National Forest at Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau. After a narrated drive to Douglas Island you’ll be surrounded with mountain views and pristine old growth forest. Once you’ve arrived at the lodge, you’ll be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable guides who will outfit you with top of the line gear. We take fun seriously, so you’ll have a safety briefing and optional practice zips before taking your "leap of faith” into the trees.
As you make your way through 7 ziplines, with the longest zip being about 600 feet long, you and your guide will stop and land in fully enclosed treehouse platforms where you can take in the scenery or snap some pictures.
During the tour, you'll view the alpine forest and unique flora and fauna from a VERY unique perspective. You can also enjoy the views from our new aerial suspension bridge! With handrails, and being clipped in from above, you'll safely traverse the bridge. Along your journey, you will cross many brooks and meandering streams. The area provides a scenery of old growth trees that are upwards of 400 years old. Get familiar with the Sitka spruce and western hemlock trees. If you are fortunate, you may even view local wildlife.
Hear about living in Southeast Alaska and the forest flora and fauna you’re seeing.
On the final platform, you will land in our new, uniquely designed tree-house and close to the end of your trip, you’ll cross a suspension bridge over a rushing stream.. After a guided, interpretive walk back to the lodge, you can purchase a locally brewed beer or fresh lemonade to sip while you watch the video presentation from your tour.
Top off your tour by embracing your inner lumberjack and try your hand at Axe Throwing.
This tour is the perfect choice for a misty day because we provide rain gear, and you will have shelter throughout the rainforest canopy.
This adventure is a genuine eco-tour. We have built the course in the old growth forest over flowing streams where there is a natural clearing of trees to minimize the impact. Also, we are one of the only "green" tourism operators in Alaska. Our business operates completely on hydro-electric power.
